GeistOur Story Our company was founded in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1948 by Rex Winders and Alex Geist as ‘Winders & Geist’. Rex and Alex invented a low-profile duct that could be placed over temporary telephone lines and secured to the floor. Their invention helped to eliminate trip hazards and launched a business that has endured for over 50 years. Our low-profile ‘Flexiduct’ was the first on the market with flexible properties that combined attractiveness with the durability for heavy foot traffic. Demand for our products continued to increase and soon we added additional sizes, colors and related electrical items to the line. Our Power Extensions, Multiple Outlet Strips and Surge Suppressors continue to be staple products for Geist Manufacturing. Constant Innovation In 1994 we expanded our operation to offer our first horizontal power distribution strip. Today, Geist specializes in 15 to 120 Amp power distribution units (PDUs), including monitored, switched, environmental and IP based products. In addition to our 1000+ standard units, Geist offers rapid response production of custom PDUs. All Geist units are built to order and Made in the USA. From in-house chassis production to an on-site UL testing lab, Geist’s cohesive abilities result in the lowest lead times in the PDU industry. Depending on the specs of your configuration, your PDU can be available for shipment in as little as 3 days. Short Deadlines We ship when promised. Our production processes have been designed to rapidly fill orders and provide customized units that specifically meet your requirements. We do not require order minimums or penalize our distribution partners for ‘drop-shipped’ or rush orders. We want to be of service!
